Powerful Tornado Leaves Behind Extensive Damage in Michigan

Residents surveyed extensive damaged caused by an unexpected tornado that touched down in Michigan early Wednesday morning, February 28.The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed an EF-2 tornado touched down in Grand Blanc with estimated peak winds of 115 mph.No one was injured or killed by the tornado, the NWS said.Footage taken by Mariah McKenzie shows numerous downed trees in the Indian Hill neighborhood of Grand Blanc.It was only the second time a tornado had been observed in southeast Michigan in the month of February, according to the NWS.
